Gregor Konstantinović is one great guy, but this is not a post about him, rather it’s about what he mentioned to me after the lunch we’ve had today. He said that I apparently have fewer comments to my blog since I have switched from Slovenian to English.
However, this also deals with two other reasons. One is the changeover of URL to the one you’re using now, and the other is the social media, like FB, TW and G+. URL is a clear one, while the social media is a bit trickier.
Social media is about interacting with my social neighbourhood. Once, when the social media were not as present, people commented on the blogs because they wanted to interact with the author in such a way. However, this interaction required a separate login and a structured answer. Twitter and its siblings don’t require the additional login, since you’re logged already, and they actually give you an excuse not to be longish in the response.
